This Winter Margarita is a dreamy holiday cocktail with the perfect amount of sweet, tart, and spiced flavors that will leave everyone returning for more!

Why Is This Called Winter Margarita
Winter Margarita blends everyone's favorite seasonal flavors with Reposado tequila; its oaky notes create a warm, festive sipping experience!
On the off chance that it gets chilly in Louisiana for the holidays, I like to shake up cocktails that make me feel like they warm me up from the inside without it being hot; for that, I make a tequila hot toddy or tequila hot chocolate.
Ingredients
I recommend Reposado tequila since its deeper flavor profile tastes similar to whiskey. If you don't have it, use Silver or Blanco tequila. Then, you'll need blood orange juice (freshly juiced or bottled), lime juice, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. For added flavor, I rim my glass with a mix of cinnamon, salt, or sugar with a hint of spice from chile or cayenne pepper.
How to Make a Winter Margarita
- Rim the glass first if that's your jam, so you can enjoy your margarita right after making it.
- Shake all the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker until the sides are nice and frosted.
- Serve and garnish with blood orange slices or cinnamon sticks for added flavor! Enjoy!
Can I Add Triple Sec or Cointreau to the Margarita?
I don't recommend adding triple sec or Cointreau, as the blood orange juice already provides enough citrus flavor. It's also a bit stronger, using 2 ounces of alcohol, than when making a Classic Margarita.
