With a few easy ingredient substitutions, you can enjoy a tasty and refreshing Skinny Margarita cocktail completely guilt-free!

What Is a Skinny Margarita?
"Skinny" is a term that often refers to a lower-calorie version of an original. In this Skinny Margarita recipe, I include all the delicious flavors of a classic Orange Margarita, but I omit the sugar-rich triple sec or Cointreau and add a little orange juice instead. By doing that, this cocktail has 100 calories per drink, while a classic margarita has about 230.
Ingredients
To make his guilt-free cocktail, you'll need tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, orange juice (a substitute for the orange liquor that reduces the calories and alcohol vol % of this cocktail), and a zero-calorie sweetener (a granulated sugar alternative like Truvia, stevia, monk fruit, or Erythritol). Using regular simple syrup will add calories.

How to Make a Skinny Margarita
- Prep the glass if a rimmed glass is your jam.
- Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker until the sides are frosted.
- Fill the glass with ice, add the margarita mixture, and garnish with a lime wedge.

- I enjoy making this skinny margarita from scratch for better control of the ingredients, but you could use a skinny margarita mix for convenience. Use 4 ounces of margarita mix with 1 ½ ounces of tequila!
