Low-Calorie Blood Orange Margarita
My skinny margarita recipes always save the day! So, this weekend, when I was the designated bartender, I grabbed my Blood Orange Margarita Recipe and put my guilt-free twist on it!
This skinny blood orange margarita is light, bubbly, and naturally sweetened, making for the perfect low-cal sip! It's only 171 calories, 93 fewer than the classic recipe at 264 calories.
Ingredients
To make this cocktail, you'll need tequila, triple sec or Cointreau, freshly squeezed or store-bought blood orange juice, lime juice (freshly squeezed is best), and sparkling water to add height and a light bubbly fizz.
How to Make a Skinny Blood Orange Margarita
- Prep the glass if you enjoy a salted rim.
- Combine all the ingredients (except the sparkling water) and ice in the shaker and shake until the sides are frosted.
- Pour and top with your bubbly finish. Garnish with a slice of fresh blood orange, dehydrated orange slices for a pop of citrus, or even blood orange wedges skewered on a cocktail pick for a fancier look!
