This frozen raspberry margarita is thick, tart, and loaded with tequila—aka your new favorite way to get your vitamin C.

Made with frozen raspberries found in the freezer section, tequila, and a dash of citrus, this frozen raspberry margarita is vibrant, icy cold and ready to pour in minutes.

Frozen Margarita with Raspberries

I meant to use my frozen raspberries for a smoothie, but this frozen raspberry margarita happened instead-and I regret nothing. It's bold, tart and unapologetically boozy. I mean… it's basically a smoothie, just with tequila perks.

This is the kind of easy cocktail I blend up whenever the mood strikes, like a papaya margarita. If I don't have raspberries, I'll swap in a bag of mixed berries and blend up a frozen berry marg instead, or a delish frozen cherry limeade margarita. Whatever you've got in the freezer is fair game.

What You Need

Everything you need to make this raspberry margarita is in the recipe card; but here are the basics of what you'll need and why I'm using them:

  • Tequila: use your favorite brand of Blanco or Silver.
  • Cointreau or Triple Sec: you can use either to get that signature citrus element. Learn more about the differences between cointreau and triple sec here.
  • Lime juice: fresh squeezed is best, but bottled will work if you're short on time.
  • Simple syrup: or honey, for extra sweetness.
  • Frozen raspberries: frozen berries give you that extra thick, slushy texture.
  • Ice: crushed.

How to Make a Frozen Raspberry Margarita

With this quick margarita, you can skip the bar tools and get straight to the good part! Just blend, pour and get back to relaxing on the patio. Here's how to ensure the best sip:

Blend
Add all of your ingredients to the blender and blend on high until you get a thick, smooth consistency. If you want to keep it icy longer, use an insulated pitcher and keep it close for easy refills.

Serve & Garnish
Pour the mixture into prepared glasses. Top with a mint sprig to make that bright magenta color pop, plus a few extra berries to snack on. Enjoy and repeat!

More Frozen Margaritas

The sun is blaring where I live and it's the moment for poolside sipping. I'm talking a frozen mango chili margarita, a summery slushy watermelon marg, tart and icy blueberry margarita, this red frozen cherry margarita and, of course, a classic frozen margarita.
