This frozen mango chili margarita is sweet, spicy, and just the right amount of extra.

With juicy mango, plenty of ice, and a swirl of chili paste in every glass, this frozen mango chili margarita is a bold twist and one you'll make on repeat.

Frozen Mango Margarita with a Kick

Call me crazy, but one night I blended up a classic frozen mango marg… and then swirled in some chili paste just to "see what would happen." Spoiler: What happened was magic.

The drink starts fruity and tropical, and then boom-chili kicks in right at the end for that perfect sweet-heat balance. It's the kind of cocktail that tastes like a pool party at golden hour. Unexpected? Totally. But trust me, it works.

What You Need

Everything you need to blend up this frozen margarita is in the recipe card below, but before you make any swaps, see why each ingredient is needed:

  • Tequila: use your favorite brand of Blanco or Silver.
  • Cointreau or Triple Sec: essential in all the best Margarita recipes! Learn more about the differences between Cointreau and triple sec here.
  • Lime juice: Freshly squeezed is a must!
  • Simple syrup: optional, but adds sweetness to your drink.
  • Frozen mango chunks: freeze your own or buy a bag from the freezer section to save time.
  • Ice: for blending.
  • Chili paste: this is where the heat meets the sweet.
  • Garnish: lime wedges.

How to Make a Frozen Mango Chili Margarita

Pull out your blender! Here is how to make that mango marg magic I was talking about earlier, plus some additional tips to ensure the best drink:

  1. Blend it Up
Blend all of your ingredients (except the chili paste) on high until you get a thick, slushy consistency. If you have leftover, you can put the pitcher in the freezer until you want to serve more or use an insulated pitcher to keep cocktails icy.
  2. Pour & Serve
Pour your mango margarita into a glass. Squeeze about ¼ of the chili paste into the middle of the drink, then swirl it with a cocktail spoon to mix it in. It looks gorgeous and adds a burst of heat in every sip.

Fun Ideas for Summer Garnishes

I like to rim this one with Tajín (spice addict here), then skewer a few mango cubes on a cocktail pick or slice a piece of mango thin and fan it out on the edge. If you really want to impress, add an edible flower or clip on a fresh chili pepper.
