One taste of this kiwi Margarita will have you craving its fresh, vibrant flavors all summer long!

Tequila Cocktail with Kiwi
When you thought the Classic Margarita couldn't get any better, kiwi makes a stellar appearance to turn this classic cocktail into a bright green tropical drink that cools you down with every sip.
Inspired by a recent visit to my in-laws, where I was gifted a basket of juicy, ripe kiwis, I decided to beat the summer heat and use them up before they spoiled. So, I put my bartender skills to work and created this ultra-refreshing kiwi Margarita that makes for the perfect drink to sip on all summer long!
Ingredients
Everything you need to make this fresh kiwi Margarita will be listed in the recipe card below, but before you make any swaps, here is why each ingredient is used:
- Kiwi: fresh or frozen. If you are using frozen, be sure to thaw before using.
- Tequila: use your favorite brand of Blanco or Silver. If you don't have a favorite, I recommend some great options below.
- Cointreau or Triple Sec: a classic staple in any good margarita recipe, this adds a citrus flavor to the mix.
- Lime juice: freshly squeezed is always the best!
- Simple syrup: optional for an extra sweet touch.
- Garnishes: top this drink off with a slice of kiwi and a mint sprig for added flavor!
How to Make a Kiwi Margarita
Gather your ingredients, and let's get shaking! The detailed steps are in the recipe card below; here are some additional tips in each to ensure the best sip:
- Make the cocktail
Muddle diced kiwi in the cocktail shaker. If you're using frozen, thaw them first. You'll want to release as much juice from the kiwi for that delicious fresh flavor. Then, add the reset of the ingredients and shake until sides are fully frosted. - Pour & Garnish
To a glass filled with ice, you'll want to give this drink a good strain to remove any seeds from your drink. If you enjoy fruit tidbits in your drink, skip this step. Garnish with a slice of kiwi and a sprig of mint for added flavor. Enjoy!
Best Tequila to Use
Since this cocktail is mixed with fruit, go for Silver or Blanco tequila and save your Reposado Tequila for sipping.

How to Serve a Kiwi Margarita
