Skip the muddling and enjoy a flavorful raspberry margarita with this easy recipe. It's refreshing, fruity, and downright delicious!
This raspberry margarita is one of those cocktails you will be making again and again since it's a lightly sweet cocktail that feels like a fruity treat for any occasion.

Easy Raspberry Margarita
What I love about this margarita is that it doesn't involve muddling any fruit. That's right, instead of mashing up raspberries for the cocktail -you'll save them for garnish- this recipe uses Chambord.
Chambord is a raspberry liquor that's sweet and easy to use to transform the Classic Margarita into a raspberry one by infusing it with raspberry flavor. And therefore, replacing the muddling of fresh fruit that would need to be strained.
If you have fresh raspberries in the fridge (or freezer) and need to use them up, try my Raspberry Peach Margarita or my Pink Lemonade & Tequila, and put that fruit to use.
Ingredients
The measurements for this Raspberry Margarita recipe will be in the recipe card below; but first, check that you have:
- Tequila: use your favorite brand. I typically use Silver or Blanco tequila for this.
- Chambord: a raspberry liqueur that adds flavor and alcohol volume to this cocktail. You can also find a generic brand at half the cost and nearly as good.
- Lime juice: freshly squeezed is always the best.
- Simple Syrup: or honey. Optional for added sweetness.
- Raspberries: for garnish.
Best Tequila for This Drink
Traditionally, most margarita recipes use blanco or silver tequila because it's affordable and a great choice for making fruity cocktails such as this one.
If you don't have a favorite brand, these are my go-to tequilas for making cocktails:

How to Make a Raspberry Margarita
The detailed steps for making this cocktail are written in detail in the recipe card; here are some additional tips in each to ensure the best drink:
- Prep the glass
While this tequila is fruity, you can use salt or sugar to rim the glass. - Fill & shake
Add ice to the shaker and all the cocktail ingredients. Make sure to shake it enough to where the sides are frosted. - Pour
Pour with the ice or freshen it up -that's up to you. - Garnish
I love skewering the raspberries through a cocktail pick.

How Strong is This Margarita Recipe?
Compared to a Classic Margarita, which is made with tequila (40% vol) and Triple Sec or Cointreau (20-40% vol), this raspberry margarita uses tequila and Chambord or Raspberry liqueur (16% vol) making it a lighter and refreshing cocktail option. You can have another!
Other lighter cocktails you can try include any of my tequila spritzer recipes, my Skinny Margarita, a Paloma Cocktail, or a Tequila Lemonade.
Serving Raspberry Margaritas
When it comes to serving it, this is where we bring back the fresh fruit and enjoy it! You can rim the glass with sugar and garnish it with raspberries by placing a few in the glass or, for a fancier cocktail, skewer a few through a cocktail stick and enjoy!
If you are looking to pair this margarita with something just as tasty, try out my Teriyaki Chicken Tacos, topped with fresh pineapple for the ultimate fruity combination! One bite of these tacos and a sip of a raspberry margarita is pure bliss! Try it out for yourself!
