Is it even officially summer without bringing out the lemonade? Make this boozy pitcher of tequila lemonade for a refreshing happy hour.

Tequila Lemonade for a Crowd
During the summer when the sun is shining and the air is thick and I've made a pitcher of lemonade for the kids, I turn it into a boozy adult drink and enjoy a tequila lemonade cocktail, which is easy to supersize for a crowd.
So, if the summer is giving you hot temperatures and you've got lemons, make lemonade. You can use freshly squeezed lemon juice with sugar to make your own, or you can use your favorite from the store for this recipe.
What you Need
I love cocktails that are exactly what the name says: tequila and lemonade! And when these ingredients pair great together... wow! Here's what you need.
- Tequila: use your favorite brand of blanco or silver.
- Lemonade: I recommend using homemade lemonade, but store-bought works just as well!
- Lemon slices: soaks up the tequila while adding in fresh lemon flavor. You will need about 1 lemon.
- Lemon wedges: for garnish.
- Mint: optional for added garnish.
How to Make a Pitcher of Tequila Lemonade
The detailed steps for making this Tequila Lemonade Pitcher are written in detail in the recipe card; here are some additional tips in each to ensure the best drink:
- Prep the Pitcher
Rinse lemon under warm water, ensuring all sides have been washed. Slice and add to the bottom of the pitcher. - Pour
To a handful of ice, combine tequila and lemonade in the pitcher. Give the mixture a good stir and refrigerate to chill. - Serve & Garnish
In a glass, pour the mixture, and add in a few ice cubes. Top off the glass with a fresh lemon wedge, mint leaves, or both for a refreshing garnish and enjoy!

How Many People Does a Pitcher Cocktail Serve
What I love about pitcher cocktail recipes, is that I can enjoy my event without having to stop and make extra drinks. This Tequila Lemonade pitcher serves up to 8 people at a time, but if you are expecting more guests, this pitcher recipe is just as delicious when doubled! Take it to the next level and make a Peach Lemonade Tequila Pitcher to go with this classic!
Make Ahead Tips
If you are one of those people who like to have everything made before guests come over, one I relate to, and two, pitcher recipes are perfect for you! To avoid watering down the mixture, wait to add ice to the pitcher right before you serve it to your guests. Then give the mixture one last good stir and enjoy! Check the recipe card for my favorite pitcher to keep the lemonade cold for hours!
How to Serve Tequila Lemonade by the Pitcher
Fill your glass with fresh ice and pour yourself some of this tequila lemonade! Then, spruce it up with lemon wedges, on the side or skewered through a cocktail pick to fancy it up.
