The right ratio of Pepsi and tequila is all you need to make a bubbly cocktail that goes down easy!

If you're a Pepsi fan and want a quick tequila cocktail, this refreshing drink will have you wanting another round!

Does Tequila Go with Pepsi?

Absolutely! The sweetness of Pepsi makes the peppery taste of tequila and to create a cocktail that goes down easy!

In fact, one of my girlfriends always asks for a Tequila and Coke when we go out (it's her thing, she says), and from time to time, the bar only serves Pepsi products, so that's what she gets too.

What You Need

There is nothing better than a cocktail that has everything you need in its name! But before you make swaps to the recipe, here is why each ingredient is used:

  • Tequila: use your favorite brand of Blanco or Silver.
  • Pepsi: I use regular Pepsi for this recipe because it's my personal favorite, but diet or Pepsi Zero sugar will work and taste just as delicious!
  • Lime wedges: for garnish.

Tequila and Pepsi Ratio

A good Pepsi to tequila ratio is 4 to 1. This means that to make one drink, you need 2 ounces of tequila and 8 ounces of Pepsi (a can) plus ice. You can, of course, adjust the quantities of each depending on how strong you like your cocktails.

Diet Pepsi and Tequila

I also enjoy this simple cocktail with Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Zero Sugar. Using a lower-calorie version instead of regular soda will shave off more than 140 calories and taste just as delicious!

How to Make a Pepsi & Tequila Cocktail

Tequila with Pepsi is one of the easiest cocktails you can make. So simple, so good! This is how it is done:

  1. Fill the glass
To a tall glass filled with ice. Add in Tequila and Pepsi of choice.
  2. Mix it up
Using a long cocktail spoon, stir to combine.
  3. Garnish & Enjoy
Using a lime wedge, garnish the rim of the glass. For added flavor, squeeze a lime wedge into the drink, stir, and enjoy!

Serving a Tequila and Pepsi

When I'm playing bartender at home, to liven up this cocktail for guests, I like to skewer lime wedges through a cocktail pick to give the drink a classier look.

If you want to enjoy this refreshing drink with a delicious side, try my homemade Pico de Gallo. For a bigger appetite, try my crowd-pleasing Street Tacos.
