This cinnamon margarita is packed with all the cozy and comforting flavors you're craving this holiday season!

Cinnamon Brown Sugar Margarita
While some reach for warm drinks when the temperatures drop, I prefer to go with a classic Margarita. It's a bit untraditional, but with festive flavors, it feels like a cozy hug and warms you up from the inside!
This weekend, I visited downtown New Orleans with some girlfriends and had lunch at a local café when I spotted a cinnamon margarita on the happy hour menu! Naturally, I had to try it, and after one sip, I was hooked! Inspiring me to recreate it at home, with a brown sugar twist, and share this epic recipe you'll be sipping all season long!
Ingredients
For this margarita, I recommend using tequila Reposado for a smoother caramel flavor; Blanco or Silver also works well. You'll also need Cointreau or triple sec, lime juice, and cinnamon syrup (store-bought or made at home with the recipe I share below).
How to Make a Cinnamon Margarita
Grab your cocktail shaker, and let's get shaking:
- Make the syrup first, if you're using homemade cinnamon syrup, and allow it to cool before making your Margarita. Now's also the perfect time to rim your glass so you can enjoy your drink right after making it.
- Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Give everything a vigorous shake until the sides of the glass are nice and frosted.
- Serve the shaken mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.

Garnishes
To elevate this cocktail, I like to add festive garnishes like apple slices and cinnamon sticks to compliment the Margarita's flavors. You can also mix it up with other seasonal favorites like star anise, dried orange slices, or rosemary for extra flare!
What to Serve with Cinnamon Margaritas
Hosting a crowd? Pair this cocktail with my Jamaican jerk chicken tacos or crowd-pleasing chicken enchilada tacos, and don't forget to top it with my spicy guacamole for a kick of heat! If you need a second drink to wow your guests, serve it with a Cinnamon Tequila Sour.
