Casamigos Tequila Margarita

If you're new here, my name is Laura, and I love ALL things tequila! From cocktails to Margaritas, and learning about the process of making it! I'm here for all of it.

This Christmas, my friend gifted me a bottle of Casamigos Tequila, and to her surprise, I hadn't tried it yet. Fast forward to this weekend, I finally had the chance to put the gift to use! I decided to put a twist on my Classic Margarita Recipe and mix up this Casamigos Margarita. With hints of vanilla and grapefruit, it's the perfect flavor packed addition to any happy hour festivities!

Is Casamigos Considered Top Shelf?

Yes, Casamigos is considered a premium, top-shelf tequila known for its high-quality flavor profiles and production methods. This brand is made from 100% Blue Weber agaves, hand selected and sourced for ultra premium production!

Ingredients

Everything you need to make this Casamigos Margarita will be listed in the recipe card below, but before you make any swaps, here is why each ingredient is needed:

  • Casamigos Tequila: with its high-quality flavor profiles, you won't want to miss out on any of these delicious flavors!
  • Cointreau: or triple sec, a staple ingredient in the best Margarita recipes.
  • Lime juice: freshly squeezed is the best.
  • Simple syrup: (optional) adds a bit of sweetness to the mix.
  • Garnishes: salt (optional) for rimming and lime wedges.

How to Make Margaritas with Casamigos Tequila

Grab your Casamigos Tequila and let me show you how to shake up the perfect Margarita, with a few additional tips in each step to ensure the best sip:

  1. Prep the glass
If you enjoy a salted rim, you'll want to start by prepping the glass first so you can enjoy your Margarita right after making it.
  2. Make the marg
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine all required ingredients. Be sure to give everything a good shake. You'll know it's ready to enjoy when the sides of the glass are frosted.
  3. Serve & Garnish
To your prepared glass filled with fresh ice, give your shaken mixture a good strain. Top your drink off with a lime wedge for a pop of flavor. Enjoy!

Garnishing a Casamigos Margarita

This drink is best enjoyed with a salted or sugared rim and a lime wedge for additional flavor! Other fun ways you can liven this cocktail up are by skewering lime wedges on a cocktail pick for a fancier look or by pairing this drink with a garnish of a dehydrated orange slice for a pop of citrusy flavor.

What to Serve with This Incredible Margarita

A Margarita this delicious needs to be paired with something equally as flavorful! Serve this cocktail with my Jamaican jerk chicken tacos or these Asian Thai rib tacos topped with my easy blender salsa for the perfect bite!
