Jelly Jar Margarita

In my house, homemade preserves are a breakfast-time staple! From apple, wild blueberry, and orange, the flavors are endless, and I'm here for all of it!

This weekend, I found myself staring into an almost empty jelly jar, so I began brainstorming ways in which I could put it to use. With my Margarita Recipe on hand, I swapped out the simple syrup for leftover jam and created this epic jelly jar Margarita that mixes the perfect blend of booze with sweet, fruity goodness!

Ingredients

With just a few staple happy hour essentials, you'll be mixing up this jelly jar margarita in no time! Here is everything you need:

  • Preserves: use up what's left in the jar; you'll need about 1 tbsp. Use any flavor!
  • Tequila: use your favorite brand of Blanco or Silver.
  • Cointreau: or triple sec, a staple ingredient found in the best margarita recipes.
  • Lime juice: freshly squeezed is the best.
  • Garnish: top with a lime wedge for a pop of flavor!

How to Make a Jelly Jar Margarita

Grab your jelly jar, and let's get shakin'! Here is how to make the best Jargarita with a few additional tips in each step to ensure the perfect drink:

  1. Make the cocktail
In a jelly jar with leftover preserves, you'll want to add a handful of ice and combine all required ingredients together. Give everything a good shake until the mixture is well combined.
  2. Garnish
Top your jelly margarita off with a lime wedge for a pop of flavor, sip, and enjoy!

Different Jargarita Flavors

I love this jelly jar margarita recipe because the possibilities are truly endless with so many flavors! From cherry, wild blueberry, raspberry, and orange, you can have fun and experiment with different flavors until you find your favorite!

Garnishes

I love finishing this Margarita with a lime wedge for a burst of flavor! Other garnish options to try include a Tajín rim for a spicy twist, dehydrated orange slices, or go all out with skewered fruits on a cocktail pick for a fruity touch!

Serving a Jelly Jar Margarita

A Jargarita is best enjoyed when served inside a jelly jar with lots of ice to keep things nice and chilled! Then pair this drink with Spicy Salmon Tacos or Short Rib tacos and this Chunky Avocado Salsa.

I used up what was left in my jam jar with my precious strawberries from this summer to make this margarita. This will be how I use them all up from now on!

I had the smallest amount left in my grape jelly jar and made this Jargarita with it. So delish! My new go-to when we're running out of jam.
