If you enjoy a salted glass, prep the rim of your glass by rubbing a lime wedge along the rim. Dip in tequila salt, and set aside.
On a cutting board, roughly chop 4 fresh rosemary leaves. Chopping them will open up the leaf and let the herb release the aroma -a little goes a long way!
Make the cocktail:
Place the chopped rosemary in the bottom of the cocktail shaker and muddle them until you begin to smell the herb aroma. You simply want to press them to squeeze their natural oils.
Add the tequila, Cointreau or triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup to the cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice and shake until the sides are frosted.
Serve:
Fill the prepared glass with ice. Strain the margarita into the glass, holding back the rosemary
