To make cinnamon sugar, combine 4 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a small dish. Spread it over a flat plate.
Make the Sangria Margarita:
Pour the wine, tequila, Grand Marnier or Cointreau (or triple sec), apple cider or juice, lime juice, maple syrup, and cinnamon in a pitcher. Using a wooden spoon, stir to combine.
Refrigerate the pitcher for 2 hours. If the wine is chilled, you can skip this step and serve it immediately.
Prep the glasses & serve:
Spread some cinnamon sugar on the plate. Wet the rim of your glass with water or a lime wedge and roll it over the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
Fill the glass with ice, add an apple slice (or two), and a cinnamon stick.
Pour the chilled sangria margarita over the prepared glasses. Add a few ice cubes to the pitcher to keep it chilled until you're ready for more refills.
Notes
You can use white or red wine for this cocktail.
You can substitute Grand Marnier or Cointreau for Triple Sec.
