This Blueberry Lime Margarita is a delicious cocktail that is both sweet and tart. The perfect refreshing drink to enjoy after a long day or with friends.
Place the blueberries and the lime juice inside a cocktail shaker. and muddle them until the blueberries are fully mashed.
Add the blueberry paste, tequila, triple sec or Cointreau, and simple syrup to the shaker. Add a handful of ice. Shake vigorously to combine the ingredients until the sides are fully frosted, for about 15 seconds.
Serve:
Fill your glass with ice. Strain the margarita over the ice.
Garnish with a lime wedge.
Notes
Make this a longer cocktail by topping it a few ounces of club soda, sparkling water, or limade.
Make a pitcher of this blueberry margarita by adding 1 cup of blueberries and 1 cup of simple syrup into a blender. Blend until smooth. Transfer that blueberry mixture into a pitcher and add 1 ½ cups fresh lime juice (about 12 limes), 1 ½ cups Cointreau or other triple sec, 3 ½ cups silver tequila. Mix well and refrigerate. Pour over ice and strain as you pour if desired.
