Instructions
Prep:
If you enjoy a salted glass, prep the rim by rubbing a lime wedge along the rim. Dip in tequila salt, and set aside.
Make the cocktail:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using). Shake until the sides are fully frosted.
Serve:
Fill your prepared glass with ice.
Strain the margarita, pour it into a lowball or footed glass, and garnish with a wedge of lime.
